The BLX Blade 98 updates the K Blade 98 with new technology and a new look.

Using basalt, a natural volcanic rock, helps with vibration resistance for a more stable feel, according to Wilson. Suited in rich gold and black coloring, this new Blade 98 provides an extremely solid feel and nice pop.

Weighing in at just over 320 grams the BLX Blade 98 packs a lot of punch from the baseline while offering a forgiving touch. There is plenty of control to be had as well with its tight string pattern while hitting groundstrokes.

At net, the stability rings true, as passing attempts are handled with minimal torsional twisting. A healthy sweetspot and solid feel add forgiveness when volleying.

When serving, the control makes placement easier to come by while there's plenty of power on reserve. This racquet offers a solid, forgiving feel from all areas of the court, making it an excellent choice for intermediate to advanced players.
